Camp personnel

WWSC staff are Christian volunteers who believe that WWSC addresses the need of urban youth for simple, clean fun, a caring community and an environment that encourages maturity and responsibility. Chosen for their cheerful optimism and high energy, the staff make camp a fun learning experience and believe that youth must learn to be responsible, independent, courageous, resilient and problem-solving team players. They work hard to build lasting bonds of friendship with campers and place campers’ needs above their own. Together, they are committed to sharing important interpersonal life skills and creating a safe and open environment where youths feel accepted as individuals. Staff are divided into those who will have constant involvement with the campers, affectionately known as "Aunties" and "Uncles" and support staff. All staff members who are happy at camp believe in excellence and are prepared to work very hard for campers to experience pure good fun.
